Association Pour la Terre believes that the combination of (a) principles surrounding sustainable development embodied in the Earth Charter, adopted by the United Nations Education, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) as part of its administration of the United Nations Decade of Education for Sustainable Development (2005-2014), and (b) our experience and dedication to inspiring children accordingly through music since 2001, serves as the basis of our current emphasis on producing comprehensive tree planting events for 6 to 12 year old children throughout the world, with environmental songs and art, in coordination with major forest organizations such as the USDA Forest Service, National Park Service, and French ONF.

In partnership with the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) and O.N.F. (French Forestry Department), and with the support of UNESCO, the Prince Albert II Foundation for the Environment (Monaco), UNRIC, the Association of Mayors, Toyota-Monaco, Nestle NA, SMEG, Studio Instrument Rentals, Outward Bound Monaco, Eco Art International, Aurian, and other prestigious international and local organizations, Association Pour la Terre has successfully produced tree planting events in fire ravaged and areas requiring reforestation with up to 450 children (aged 6-12) per day from local public and special education schools and Scout organizations in Europe and North America and Africa.

Our first major plantings in 2007, in the mountains above Nice, France, were universally acclaimed as a success and serve as a template for similar events in the United States, Canada, throughout Southern Europe and the Mediterranean countries and Africa.

Enjoy a video of a sample tree-planting event in Luceram, France.

More videos and photos shall be posted shortly.

Pour la Terre also promotes alternative clean energies and has acted to oppose polluting industry with the support of the JM Goldsmith Foundation, Fondation Terre Humaine, Foundations Patagonia/Tides and Fédération Agissons to educate and inform our region, Southern France, of the health dangers presented by toxic incineration through the production of expert seminars.

Pour la Terre launched the successful Kids4Trees program in the United States, which is now an independent California nonprofit corporation and continues to support its programs. You are encouraged to visit their website for complete background information and programs throughout the United States in partnership with the USDA Forest Service and throughout the world with the World Olympians Association.  www.kids4trees.org
